CONSTANTIA CURTAINS — SPECIAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

Acceptance of quotation: Acceptance of this quotation and payment of the required deposit confirms approval of the fabric, colour, heading style, lining, measurements, accessories and specifications stated above.
Custom-made products: Curtains, blinds, cushions and other made-to-measure items are manufactured specifically for the client. Once fabric has been ordered or cut and manufacture has commenced, changes or cancellations may result in charges for materials and work already committed. This does not affect the client’s rights under the Consumer Protection Act.
Measurements: Where Constantia Curtains takes the measurements, we are responsible for manufacturing according to those measurements. Where measurements are supplied by the client or a third party, Constantia Curtains cannot accept responsibility for errors resulting from incorrect measurements supplied to us.
Fabric quantities: Fabric quantities are calculated according to the selected heading, fullness, pattern repeat, fabric width and finished drop. Pattern matching may require additional fabric.
Fabric variations: Slight variations in colour, weave, texture, pattern placement and dye lots may occur between samples and supplied fabric. Natural fabrics may contain irregularities that are characteristic of the material and are not necessarily defects.
Fabric availability: All quotations are subject to fabric and accessory availability at the time the deposit is received. If a selected item becomes unavailable, the client will be contacted before any substitution is made.
Lead time: The estimated lead time is 2–6 weeks from receipt of the deposit and final approval of all specifications, subject to fabric availability and supplier lead times. Clients will be informed of significant unforeseen delays.
Changes after approval: Any changes requested after acceptance of the quotation may affect the price, fabric quantity and completion date. Additional work will only proceed once the revised cost has been approved by the client.
Installation: Installation prices are based on normal installation conditions. Additional work required because of unsuitable walls, ceilings, existing fittings, inaccessible areas or other unforeseen site conditions will be discussed with the client before additional charges are incurred.
Existing structures: Constantia Curtains cannot accept responsibility for defects in existing walls, ceilings, rails, tracks or structures that were not reasonably visible before installation.
Payment: The deposit stated on the quotation is required before fabric is ordered and production begins. The outstanding balance is payable in accordance with the payment terms shown on the quotation.
Inspection: Clients are requested to inspect the completed work after delivery or installation and notify Constantia Curtains promptly of any concerns so that they can be assessed and, where appropriate, corrected.
Consumer rights: Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or restrict any rights afforded to the client under the South African Consumer Protection Act.
